POLLYAIM Moulding Putty is a non- drying, non- shrink compound, used for forming a profile to flanges, spigot joints and pipe fittings such as valves etc.

It is used to form a good and easy profile to enable the tape to be wrapped easily and without any void in the tape overlap.

Application Instructions: The surface of the substrate should be cleaned then primed (using a Pollyaim Primer) prior to application of Pollyaim Moulding Putty. Pollyaim Moulding Putty is applied by hand. (Gloves should be worn at all times).

Pollyaim Moulding Putty combines the corrosion protection and adhesive properties of the Pollyaim range of tapes with a tough closed cell compound, to form a shaped filler which effectively moulds and profiles any pipe accessory. It is quick and easy to apply.

It is compatible with all the Pollyaim range of tapes (Pollycote-Politt-Pollatum) and with most of the cold applied tapes known to us from other quality tape manufacturers.

The non-softening foam compound has excellent puncture resistance and excellent resistance to cathodic disbondment, as it is a closed cell lightweight compound.

The Moulding putty however, needs mechanical protection and should therefore, be over-wrapped with a tape to give it extra protection.

Pollyaim Moulding Putty remains permanently soft and can therefore be removed easily when repairing valves or other accessories.

SHELF LIFE: MINIMUM SEVEN YEARS IF STORED IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKING.

REPAIRS: To remove Pollyaim Moulding Putty, all that is needed is a knife to cut the tape and trowel to remove the old putty which even though will stick permanently on the substrate, is easily removable. After removing the putty, the surface should be cleaned using white spirit or other acceptable solvent.
